Industriepark Höchst and Frankfurt's industry
With the Industriepark Höchst, Frankfurt has one of Europe's largest chemicals and pharmaceuticals sites: around 460 hectares, about 90 companies and over 120 production plants (including Sanofi). Add to that the industrial and commercial areas along Hanauer Landstrasse and in Fechenheim (including the Siemens switchgear plant). For assembly teams, that means many plants with a lasting need for maintenance, plant construction and servicing.
Messe Frankfurt
The Messe Frankfurt is the world's third-largest exhibition ground at around 584,000 square metres, with major events such as Light+Building, ISH, Ambiente and Automechanika. For set-up and teardown teams, stand construction and event technology, it is a recurring job site with a tight time window; the grounds have their own S-Bahn station and a direct motorway link (A648).
Frankfurt Airport
Frankfurt Airport is Hesse's largest place of work, with tens of thousands of employees and Europe's largest cargo volume. Technical, construction and maintenance projects run there practically non-stop. The airport is well connected from the city area via the A3 and A5 and the S-Bahn (S8/S9).
Dense S-Bahn and U-Bahn network
Frankfurt has one of the densest local transport networks in Germany: nine S-Bahn lines (S1 to S9) and nine U-Bahn lines, running every 15 minutes within the city, plus the Hauptbahnhof as one of the country's largest long-distance rail hubs. A team can therefore often reach its construction site by rail and U-Bahn, without every worker needing a vehicle.
At the Frankfurter Kreuz
At the Frankfurter Kreuz, the A3 and the A5 meet, one of the busiest motorway interchanges in Europe, right by the airport. Via this network, construction sites across the whole region are quickly reached; anyone starting early is swiftly on the motorway.
Parking on site
Frankfurt city centre is paid parking. But for trades and assembly businesses there is the regional tradesperson parking permit Frankfurt RheinMain: it lets company vehicles park at the client's in paid zones, at parking ticket machines without charge and in residents' parking areas. That way the van stands legally at the site, rather than risking tickets.
